Heidelberg has a beautiful castle to visit up on the hillside (€3 Adult entry fee 11/09/09) with a wonderful pharmaceutical museum to see which is included in the price. The views from the castle over the river and old town are spectacular offering great photo opportunities. Down in the old town you are over looked by the magnificent castle and surrounded by beautiful buildings. There is an old bridge that spans the river from the old town that is very pretty and offers some great views of the castle from below. You will find plenty of places full of character and charm to eat and drink as you wander through the cobbled streets gazing all about you. There are plenty of car parks in the old town (altstadt) area of Heidelberg and all are very reasonably priced.
